CIIP’s Sue-Ann Huang delivered a keynote and moderated a panel at the event Seizing the Moment: Harnessing Capital for a Sustainable Future, hosted by European Chamber of Commerce, Singapore (EuroCham Singapore). The session brought together experts from finance and sustainability to discuss how businesses can develop investment strategies that generate positive social and environmental outcomes.
In her keynote, Sue-Ann introduced key concepts in impact investing and explained how approaches differ across the “Spectrum of Capital”. She highlighted the importance of impact accountability and shared why Asia, though still a small part of the global impact market, presents significant opportunities for scaled impact.
The panel that followed featured Tom James (TradeFlow Capital Management), Janne Nuutinen (ConduitIMPACT), and Erica Abisso (Intesa Sanpaolo). They demonstrated that financial returns and positive impact can go together, and emphasised the need for clear reporting, strong ESG measurement, and better capacity building for credible impact data.
